Dr Bruce Kirenga and his team at Makerere University Lung Institute, Uganda, published “Efficacy of convalescent plasma for treatment of COVID-19 in Uganda”, helping shape the World Health Organization, National Institutes of Health and European Medicines Agency recommendations against its routine use.
